1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Madly ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. What the Service Provides

Madly provides two main things:

• A directory of wedding venues and wedding service providers ("vendors") that you can browse and search.
• Planning tools for your own event, including a task checklist and planning timeline, a guest list with RSVP tracking, a budget calculator, a day-of schedule, and a shareable event website.

We are a directory and planning platform. We do not provide wedding services ourselves, and we are not a party to any arrangement you make with a venue or vendor.

3. Accounts

Some parts of the Service require an account. When you create one:

• You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for activity that takes place under your account.
• You must tell us if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

4. Your Event Content

The planning tools store the content you enter, including task notes, guest names and contact details, budget figures, schedules, and anything you put on your event website. You remain responsible for that content.

Where you enter another person's details — a guest's name or email address, for example — you confirm that you are entitled to provide them to us for this purpose.

Your event website and its guest list are reachable by anyone who has the link. The link is not published by us, but we cannot control who it is shared with once you have shared it. Please bear that in mind when deciding what to put on it.

You grant us the permission we need to store, reproduce and display your content for the purpose of operating the Service for you. We claim no ownership of it.

5. Venue and Vendor Listings

If you create or claim a listing, you confirm that you are the owner or an authorised representative of that business.

Listings may include a business description, contact details, an address, pricing information, capacity, selling points, categories and tags, links to social media profiles, packages with their own terms, and images.

By adding content to a listing you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and you grant us the permission we need to store, reproduce and display it as part of your listing on the Service. This includes images you upload.

Listings may be reviewed by us before they appear, and we may decline or remove a listing, or ask for changes. A listing marked as verified means only that we have confirmed control of the listing's email address; it is not an endorsement, an inspection, or a statement about the quality of the business.

Approved listings are public. The information on them, including the business email address and address, can be seen by anyone using the Service.

6. Directory Information and Accuracy

While we try to keep listing information accurate and current, we cannot guarantee that it is complete, accurate or up to date. Prices, availability, capacity and other details may change without notice. Always verify details directly with the venue or vendor before relying on them.

Some listings are compiled from publicly available information before the business has signed up. If a listing relates to your business, you can claim it to take over its content, or contact us to have it corrected or removed.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Upload content that is unlawful, misleading, or infringes someone else's rights.
• Create or claim a listing for a business you are not authorised to represent.
• Attempt to access accounts, events or data that are not yours.
• Scrape, copy or redistribute the directory in bulk.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the Service.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service itself — its design, text, and software — belongs to us or our licensors. Content you or other users add remains the property of whoever owns it.

9. Disclaimer of Liability

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for:

• The outcome of any booking or arrangement made between you and a venue or vendor.
• The accuracy of listing pricing, availability, capacity or amenities.
• Any dispute between you and a venue or vendor, or between you and your guests.
• Any change or cancellation made by a venue or vendor.
• Loss of content you have entered, however caused. Please keep your own copies of anything important.

The planning tools, including the budget calculator and the checklist, are guides only. They are not financial, legal or professional advice.

10. Third-Party Links

The Service contains links to third-party websites and services that we do not own or control, including business websites, social media profiles, and messaging apps. We assume no responsibility for their content, policies or practices.

11. Privacy and Data

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes what we store and why.

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or close an account, or remove a listing, where these terms have been breached. You may stop using the Service at any time, and you can ask us to delete your data as described on our data deletion page.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the revised terms.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
